The “titer” indicates the thickness of the yarn. A lower number corresponds to a thin yarn, while a higher number indicates a thick yarn. The number indicates the fineness of the yarn, expressed as a ratio between the length and the weight. The choice of the number affects the tension of the work and the type of project that can be made.
